Rapids Practice Meet - Timed Trials

This is our annual practice meet. It will serve as time trials for our coaches and a dry-run for volunteers so they know how to help set up and run a home meet. |

Suit Sizing and Try-on
GC Clubhouse

We will host a suit try-on day at the GC Clubhouse. The Rapids do not require that our swimmers wear our GC suits (but we’d love if you did); however, if you choose to not purchase a GC swimsuit to wear for our meets you will need to have your child wear an all black suit. In addition, we take a team photo each year and only those swimmers in our GC suits or all black suits will be able to join the team for picture day. If your child has grown, you are new to the team, or are just in need of a new suit, please make it a point to stop by the clubhouse on Saturday, March 16th anytime between 9 - 11 am. Reddiset will be present with suits for our swimmers to try on and any additional needs for your swimmers – googles, swim bags, and more. NOTE: Suits are NOT purchased at the clubhouse on try-on day. You will need to go to their website link found on our homepage to purchase a GC suit; which can be done at any time. |

Save the Date: Trophies, awards, food and games. Attire is casual and kids can have their bathing suits on for games in the pool. If you signed up for a food, you can bring them to the blue pavilion behind the blocks. We will have volunteers helping to set up the buffet line. |

Dives, Turns and Finishes Clinic ($20 per swimmer)

There will be 5 Stroke Clinics total, one for each stroke and one for dives & turns/finishes. We have received good feedback about these clinics from previous years and it is a great way to get small group instruction on specific strokes. This is open to ALL Rapid swimmers and will be $20 in cash per swimmer per clinic. If interested in attending any of these clinics, please confirm your spot by declaring your swimmer AND give your $20 to either Coach Jaedyn or Chenin at practices leading up to stroke clinics. You do not need to declare your swimmer if you are not planning on attending any clinics. |

Dive-in Movie and Lock-In ($20 per swimmer)

Our neighborhood dive-in movie/lockin will be Friday, June 16th. For those who are new to the neighborhood, we host a kid friendly dive in movie at the GC pool for all to enjoy. This event is not limited to GC swimmers but to the whole neighborhood, so bring your friends. We will be playing fun games before such as belly flop and cannon ball contest, waterballoon toss, etc... The Lock-in will begin directly after the dive-in movie ends. We invite ALL RISING 8th GRADERS & UP on the GC swim team to join. The lock-in is an overnight event where we be playing lots of games throughout the night and it is a good opportunity for some team bonding! The GC coaching staff will be chaperoning. |
