Grand Cascades Swim Team

Registration will open on March 7, 2025 for returning families only. Registration will open March 23rd for everyone else.

The summer of 2025 brings our 26th season of the Grand Cascades Swim Team!  Our swim team is for instructional and recreational competitive swimming. The driving principles of the team are fun, improvement, and safety. We seek to teach and reinforce the life-long skills of swimming, sportsmanship, teamwork, strong character and goal setting/attainment. All Grand Cascades children ages 4 -18 who can swim a lap unassisted across the GC pool are invited to participate. Our 2025 team will consist of Ripples and Rapids.

The Ripples program is designed for kids 4-6 who are potty trained, can tread water, and are not afraid to put their face in the water.  Generally these kids are water safe, but are unable to swim the full lap of the pool unassisted and/or have not yet learned the freestyle or backstroke.  Coaches will work with the children on improving their first two strokes for competitive swimming with a hope that they'll love the sport of swimming and become a Rapid. Children must be the age of 4 prior to our first day of practice and cannot turn 8 during the swim season.  This is a non-negotiable rule of participation.

The Rapids is a competitive swim team that will compete against other neighborhoods in our area.  It enables a fun and competitive swim experience.  These are swimmers who can swim successfully across the pool unassisted and are familiar with freestyle or other strokes and are eager and willing to race in meets.

No matter the ages (4-18) or swimming skill level (know one stroke or compete year-round), at Grand Cascades we are one big family. We look forward to the opportunity to share the Grand Cascades experience with you and your family.
